Sound Advice, When Compared To Other Dog Training Manuals

I've read dozens of dog training books at this point, and trained (or helped to train) nearly that many dogs, and I can say that this rather slender e-book covers most of the dog-training basics that I'm familiar with. The author, who seems mainly to have published in other genres, manages to talk authoritatively about such basics in the dog-training world as positive reinforcement and the importance of consistent training methods. Clicker training and food-incentivized training are also addressed, as are training tools such as head harnesses.
If you're new to dog ownership, you'll learn early in this slender volume that training a dog is first and foremost about TRAINING YOURSELF. You need to learn how to be consistent, for instance, and to not incentivize the very behavior you wish to vanish from your dog's mischievous repertoire of "tricks." This little book will do a lot, I think, to direct any new dog owner in the right direction when it comes to kindly yet firmly teaching your dog "new tricks."
My only critique of this volume has to do with organization and length. With proper sections that are clearly delineated for the reader, this book could have grown a bit in length to cover the many important topics even more thoroughly. That's not a damning critique, mind you, but worth a star off the total of 5 in my book.

I really enjoyed reading this book I learned a lot from it like I what I was doing wrong, and how I could fix it. Having three dogs in our house is a challenge at times when they don't want to listen and this book has really helped me.
The E-book covers positive reinforcement that are effective and do work, how to stay consistent and why its important to your dog, and many training tools are offered and addressed in this wonderful book.
The author made the book a fun way to learn and detailed the proper way to train, the book flowed nicely from topic to topic and I am very pleased that I took the time to read.
I do recommend reading this book if you are new to training your dog or if you just need pointers for a dog you already have!!

Very useful book that my husband and I loved to read it for our precious dogs.It helps us to have knowledge how to properly trained our dogs by not stressing them also The contents are very easy to understand and it's short and consized.Our dogs now we're more behave and trained.I let my friend read this book also and she likes it because it will just give brilliant ideas how to trained her dogs also that she won't be stress and so her dogs as well..I would recommend this book especially to newbies having their dogs and to pro also...you can learn stuff in easy way .I received this product for free in exchange of my unbiased review.
